Blues Rock
Green Bullfrog was a one-off studio project, recorded between February and May 1970. The album was the brainchild of producer Derek Lawrence, who assembled a group of musicians he had worked with in the 1960s. It was originally released in 1971.
The album used pseudonyms for contractual reasons. The album was a commercial failure. The musicians were eventually confirmed to include Deep Purple's Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Paice, Procol Harum's Matthew Fisher, Chas & Dave's Chas Hodges, and session guitarists Albert Lee and Big Jim Sullivan.
