Blind Willie formed in Spokane (Washington) in 1972 and featured terrific guitar player Frank Towbridge from hard-psych legends Sleepy John.

They carved out a unique niche in the Northern Idaho/Eastern Washington rock scene in the early to mid-‘70s, performing original music in a time when doing so wasn’t widespread for regional bands.

Within weeks of the group’s formation, they commanded stages with a potent smattering of hard-rock, country-rock and psychedelic...

Harvest label are available in a package of five CDs entitled Taking Some Time On: The Parlophone-Harvest Years (1968-73). The five discs include demos, non-LP singles, B-sides, outtakes and several BBC live sessions. 

Barclay James Harvest was founded in Saddleworth, Yorkshire, UK in September 1966 by John Lees (vocals, guitars), Les Holroyd (bass, guitars, keyboards, vocals), Stuart 'Woolly' Wolstenholme (1947-2010, vocals, Mellotron, keyboards, guitars) and Mel Pritchard (1948-2004, drums, percussion). They signed a record contract with EMI's Parlophone-label for one single in early 1968, but soon they moved to the progressive Harvest-label. Their eponymous debut album was released mid-1970 and got positive reviews, but few sales. The second album Once Again (1971) gained more favourable reviews....

Cuby + Blizzards, also known as Cuby & The Blizzards, were a blues rock group from the Netherlands, founded in 1964 by vocalist Harry Muskee and guitarist Eelco Gelling. During the 1960s, the band's mixture of sound, drawing upon a variety of genres which included blues and rock and roll, gave them a pioneering sound which was completely different from any other Dutch band in the same period.

The Masked Marauders was not made by the famous musicians it purported to feature (Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison), it was a hoax orchestrated by Rolling Stone magazine editors Greil Marcus and Langdon Winner. 

The actual recording was performed by the Berkeley-based band Cleanliness and Godliness Skiffle Band, who provided vocal impersonations and instrumental backing. The album was released in November 1969 on Warner Bros. newly created Deity label (distributed by Reprise), following a satirical review Marcus published in Rolling Stone that convinced fans and retailers a real supergroup existed.

"This compillation by Sony Music Japan’s 2012 two CD set “Original Singles A’s & B’s 1965-1971” which compiles both sides of every US single released during the period, as well as some sides that were withdrawn before hitting record stores. The fifty two tracks are all included in their original mono single mixes, with the exceptions of “Citizen Kane” and “Farther Along” which were only recorded in stereo and were never folded down or prepared in any mono format. The forty eight page booklet contains the full lyrics in both Japanese and English, although all the other notes are unfortunately included only in Japanese. The set comes with an OBI strip and as with all Japanese releases, the sound is simply immaculate. American psychedelic folk rock band from Los Angeles. The Rockets is the sole release in 1968. Selling only about 5,000 copies, it was far from a success. Nevertheless, the album found among its fans Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young, who would soon take rhythm guitarist/lead vocalist Danny Whitten, bassist Billy Talbot and drummer Ralph Molina for his backing band on the album Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere. Violinist Bobby Notkoff and guitarist George Whitsell reformed the band with a new lineup in 2013...

Siren is essentially Kevin Coyne, Dave Clague and Nick Cudworth, augmented from time to time by a drummer and lead guitarist.

The first two singles was released in 1969. In the same year they released their first LP. The second LP "Strange Locomotion" followed in 1971...

"Kevin Coyne (27 January 1944 - 2 December 2004) was an English musician, singer, composer, film-maker, and a writer of lyrics, stories and poems. He was critically acclaimed for his unorthodox style of blues-influenced guitar composition, the intense quality of his vocal delivery, and his lyrics".
