American psychedelic folk rock band from Los Angeles. The Rockets is the sole release in 1968. Selling only about 5,000 copies, it was far from a success. Nevertheless, the album found among its fans Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young, who would soon take rhythm guitarist/lead vocalist Danny Whitten, bassist Billy Talbot and drummer Ralph Molina for his backing band on the album Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere. Violinist Bobby Notkoff and guitarist George Whitsell reformed the band with a new lineup in 2013...

The Old Man & The Sea was a progressive rock band from Denmark which was formed in Horsens, Midtjylland in 1967 by Benny Stanley (guitar), Knud Lindhard (bass) and Tommy Hansen (organ, keyboards). The band's first line-up was finalised with the addition of Lars "Beske" Thygesen on drums and Robert Hauschild on vocals. This version of the band toured widely in Denmark and also played some gigs in Norway, but split up when they returned from there in 1969.

The band went on to record their self-titled "Old Man and the Sea" debut album at Rosenberg Studios in 1972.

Jellyroll was an American brass-rock band from Cincinnati that released a 1970 self-titled album on Kapp Records. Orleans is an American pop rock band formed in 1972 in Woodstock, New York by John Hall, Larry Hoppen and Wells Kelly. Larry's younger brother, bassist Lance Hoppen and drummer Jerry Marotta joined the band in 1972 and 1976, respectively.
