Chicken Shack are a British blues band, founded in the mid-1960s by Stan Webb (guitar and vocals), Andy Silvester (bass guitar), and Alan Morley (drums), who were later joined by Christine Perfect (later McVie) (vocals and keyboards) in 1967. Chicken Shack has performed with various line-ups, Stan Webb being the only constant member.
This three-disc set collects the band's entire output for the imprint from 1967-1969 and includes alternate takes, singles, and B-sides (56 tracks in all) from the Blue Horizon era.

Shaft is a double album by Isaac Hayes, recorded for Stax Records' Enterprise label as the soundtrack LP for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's 1971 blaxploitation film Shaft. The album mostly consists of instrumentals composed by Hayes as score for the film. Three vocal selections are included: "Soulsville", "Do Your Thing", and "Theme from Shaft". A commercial and critical success, Shaft is Hayes' best-known work and the best-selling LP ever released on a Stax label.

Flower Travellin' Band was a Japanese rock band that was formed in 1967. They were connected to Japan's counterculture movement and noted for their mixture of early heavy metal with psychedelic and progressive rock. They received wide acclaim from critics but failed to achieve commercial success and separated in 1973 to pursue individual careers.
Hideki Ishima Japanese rock guitarist. Born March 21, 1944 in Sapporo. He moved to Tokyo in the mid-sixties, and played with the Group Sounds band The Outlaws from 1966 to 1969. Following that he joined The Flowers, who later became Flower Travellin' Band. 
Yuya Uchida real name (Uchida Yūya) Japanese singer, record producer, and actor, born 17 November 1939, Nishinomiya - died 17 March 2019, Tokyo. Masterminded the career of The Flowers and Flower Travellin' Band.

Ardo Dombec was a German progressive rock band that released their self-titled album in 1971. The band was known for their heavy, bluesy, and slightly jazzy rock sound, which set them apart from other artists on the Pilz label. Their music combined blues, soul, and jazz styles into a song-based rock format, with notable arrangements for a four-piece band. The album featured a mix of instrumental and vocal tracks, with some songs showing influences from American bands like Chicago Transit Authority or Blood Sweat & Tears. The 1971 release included eight original tracks, and later reissues added four bonus cuts.
The band members included Harald Gleu on guitar and vocals, Michael Ufer on bass, Helmut Hachmann on sax and flute, and Wolfgang Spillner on drums and vocals.

The band, led by Matt Minglewood, was named after its founding member, who had previously been part of the band "Sam Moon and the New Broom," which was later rechristened "Moon, Minglewood And The Universal Power". The Red Album was followed by a self-titled second album in 1978, which was released under RCA Records and achieved gold status.
