Heavy Bluesy and Slightly Jazzy Rock

Ardo Dombec was a German progressive rock band that released their self-titled album in 1971. The band was known for their heavy, bluesy, and slightly jazzy rock sound, which set them apart from other artists on the Pilz label. Their music combined blues, soul, and jazz styles into a song-based rock format, with notable arrangements for a four-piece band. The album featured a mix of instrumental and vocal tracks, with some songs showing influences from American bands like Chicago Transit Authority or Blood Sweat & Tears. The 1971 release included eight original tracks, and later reissues added four bonus cuts.
The band members included Harald Gleu on guitar and vocals, Michael Ufer on bass, Helmut Hachmann on sax and flute, and Wolfgang Spillner on drums and vocals.
