Unit 4 + 2 is the British pop band best known for their 1965 UK No. 1 hit single "Concrete and Clay". The group was part of the British Beat explosion, featuring strong vocal harmonies and guitarist Russ Ballard, who later gained fame with Argent.
Concrete & Clay: The Complete Recordings 1964-1969 is a comprehensive 2-CD anthology released by RPM Records (originally in 2016, with a reissue in October 2024). This collection encompasses the band's entire recorded output, including 43 tracks that comprise 14 singles, an EP, and two albums.
