Lord Sutch and Heavy Friends is the debut studio album by the English rock singer Screaming Lord Sutch. Recording began in May 1969 at Mystic Studios in Hollywood and it was released on Cotillion Records in 1970. The album featured an all-star line-up with contributions from Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page (who also produced the album) and John Bonham, guitarist Jeff Beck, session keyboardist Nicky Hopkins, session guitarist Deniel Edwards and bassist Noel Redding.

New Feelin' is the sixth studio album by American singer and actress Liza Minnelli, released on October 19, 1970, by A&M Records. It was her third and final studio album for the label. Recommended!

"The musicians involved in the recording of Liza Minnelli's album New Feelin' include the Muscle Shoals-based session musicians, known for their distinctive country-soul and R&B arrangements, which contributed to the album's twangy guitars, energetic brass sections, pulsating electric bass, and gospel-inspired backing vocals. The album was engineered by Mickey Buckins and Sonny Limbo, and the art direction was handled by Tom Wilkes.

Rex Kramer, who was the lead vocalist of The Bojangles and also dating Liza Minnelli at the time, served as the producer, arranger, and photographer for the album. The album features a blend of modern arrangements of classic songs from the Great American Songbook, recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, during the spring and summer of 1970."

The Kaleidoscope was a psychedelic rock venue run by the management of the band Canned Heat. It was only open for about 6 months in 1968. It had some memorable posters and some memorable bands, but it was one of many unsuccessful efforts to create a viable Fillmore type venue in Los Angeles.

Carson were an Australian blues rock and boogie rock band, which formed in January 1970 as Carson County Band. In October 1970 Carson dropped the County Band from their name to avoid being confused for a country music group. Ian Winter joined Carson on guitar at the beginning of 1971.

Carson's debut studio album, Blown, was released in November 1972 on Harvest Records (catalog number SHVL 608) in Australia. It features a blues rock and boogie rock style. The single "Boogie," which was a top 30 hit on the Go-Set National Top 40, is featured on the album, with the track titled "A Boogie" on the vinyl. Blown reached No. 14 on the Go-Set Top 20 Albums chart in December 1972.

Black Merda were a funky rock combo mixing fuzz-toned, psychedelic blues-rock with folky acoustic passages and contemporary late-'60s soul. Black Merda's self-titled album sounded revolutionary enough, although the bandmembers were disappointed that it didn't reflect their heavy live shows. Rick & the Ravens was an American surf rock and frat rock band, known as the forerunner of the Doors. Ray Manczarek joined his brothers band in 1962 and became the bands leader shortly after that.

This unofficial CD compilation features eight tracks, including the band's original singles released in 1965 on Aura Records and Posae Records, as well as unreleased recordings from the same period.
