Rock Workshop was a British brass-rock and blues band formed in 1970 by guitarist Ray Russell, who had previously worked with Georgie Fame And The Blue Flames, and featured the legendary singer Alex Harvey. The band's purpose was to play experimental and innovative music supported by a brass section, pioneering a jazz, funk, and rock fusion. Their debut self-titled album was recorded in April 1970 and released in August of that year on CBS. The album featured Alex Harvey on vocals for tracks 2 and 7, with Alan Greed providing vocals on tracks 1, 3, and 6. The band's second album, The Very Last Time, was released in 1971 on CBS.
