The Survival of St. Joan is a rock opera by Smoke Rise (Gary Ruffin, Hank Ruffin, Stan Ruffin, and Randy Bugg, music composed by Hank and Gary) from an original concept and libretto by Off-Broadway playwright and screenwriter James Lineberger.
Smoke Rise was an American rock band in 1969-1972. In 1970, they created the first American rock opera, The Survival of St. Joan. Its members were brothers Hank Ruffin keyboards, Gary Ruffin guitar, Stan Ruffin drums and Randy Bugg bass guitar.

The band formed in Tallahassee, Florida, released their debut album titled February in 1973. The album features a blend of blues, psych rock, and Southern rock, showcasing the band's raw energy and original style. The group consisted of Patrick Muth on rhythm and lead guitar, harmonica, and vocals; Brewster Banks on bass guitar, piano, vocals and Wally Knoelke on drums, percussion and trumpet. The original LP was released on Newsouth Recordings in 1974, and a reissue was released on CD by Gear Fab Records in 2010. The album is considered a rare and sought-after release. The band disbanded in late 1975, after which Patrick Muth formed the bands Crybaby and The Cove Hotel Band, while Brewster Banks continued releasing music under various names.

Jon Lord's Gemini Suite is a studio album released in 1971, marking his first solo project following the 1969 classical/rock fusion Concerto for Group and Orchestra. The album features five extended movements, each dedicated to a member of the Deep Purple band, performed with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Malcolm Arnold. The track listing includes "Guitar" (featuring Albert Lee), "Piano" (Jon Lord), "Drums" (Ian Paice), "Vocals" (Tony Ashton and Yvonne Elliman), "Bass Guitar" (Roger Glover), and "Organ" (Jon Lord), with the total duration of the original release being 47 minutes and 24 seconds. The album was originally released in Europe and America with different cover artwork

X-Dreams is the second solo album by Annette Peacock, released in 1978.
Peacock had spent the previous four years recording material for the album in various studios. She recalled that a total of 22 musicians participated in the creation of the album: "most of them had never played together, and all the tracks were first takes. It was very exciting." Mick Ronson played on tracks 1,5,6 and 7. Peacock reflected: "There was an understanding between Mick and I, a mutual respect and admiration."
Annette Peacock (born September 2, 1941) is an American composer, musician, songwriter, producer, and arranger. She is a pioneer in electronic music who combined her voice with one of the first Moog synthesizers in the late 1960s.

Clouds were a progressive rock group from Edinburgh, Scotland who never found true commercial success despite rave reviews for their records and concerts. Nine piece jazz rock ensemble from New York, USA. Archie Whitewater is not an actual member but the adopted Cherokee name of member Travis Jenkins, which then provided the band's name. The Creation are an English rock band, formed in 1966. Their best-known songs are "Making Time", which was one of the first rock songs to feature a guitar played with a bow, and "Painter Man", which made the top 40 on the UK Singles Chart in late 1966, and reached No. 8 on the German chart in April 1967. It was covered by Boney M in 1979, and reached the No. 10 position on the UK chart. "Making Time" was used in the film Rushmore, and as the theme song from season 2 onwards of The Great Pottery Throw Down.

Kristofferson is the debut album by the singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson. It was produced by Fred Foster and released in June 1970 by Monument Records.
"Critics gave Kristofferson a positive reception but the album's original release was a commercial failure. In 1971, following the success of Janis Joplin's recording of "Me and Bobby McGee", the album was reissued as Me and Bobby McGee; it peaked at number 10 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and at 43 on Billboard's Top LPs and the release was certified gold.
