The Isley Brothers & Jimi Hendrix – In The Beginning... is a 1971 compilation album released on the T-Neck label (catalog number TNS 3007) in the United States. The album features recordings originally made between 1964 and 1965, when Jimi Hendrix was a member of The Isley Brothers' band. The Isley Brothers are an American soul group originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, that began as a vocal trio consisting of the brothers O'Kelly Isley Jr., Rudolph Isley and Ronald Isley in the 1950s.
(Notably, four tracks on the album "The Last Girl," "Looking For A Love," "Simon Says," and "Wild Little Tiger" do not feature Hendrix playing guitar, as they were recorded without him.)!?
