Hackensack - Up The Hardway (1974/2002) Red Fox Records - RF 616

MP3/320Kbs/114MB
Hard Blues Rock

Up The Hardway the debut album by band (and only official album), released in 1974. Hackensack existed between 1968 and 1974 and released the abovementioned album and one single. They were formed by vocalist Nicky Moore, one of England's best frontmen. They built up a good reputation as a hard working and hard rocking blues/rock quartet. Their only album release is quite collectible today, and had a good mix of solid rockers as well as the odd tasteful blues track. Unfortunately its failure to do much led to the demise of the band in 1974.

Tracks:
1. Up The Hardway (Nicky Moore, Ray Smith) 5:40
2. A Long Way To Go (Nicky Moore) 7:02
3. Goodbye World (Nicky Moore) 6:14

5. Angels Theme (Nicky Moore) / Goodboy Badboy (Nicky Moore, Ray Smith) 6:17
6. Blindman (Nicky Moore, Ray Smith) 5:16
7. Northern Girl (Nicky Moore) 7:09
8. Hot Damn Home-Made Wine (Chas Hodges, Dave Peacock) 3:49

Personnel:
Nicky Moore - lead vocals, guitar, electric piano
Ray Smith - lead guitar, vocals
Paul Martinez - bass
Simon Fox - drums, percussion
