O Brother, Where Art Thou? is the soundtrack album of music from the 2000 American film of the same name. The film is set in Mississippi during the Great Depression. The soundtrack, produced by T-Bone Burnett, uses bluegrass, country, gospel, blues, and Southern folk music appropriate to the time period. The soundtrack was reissued on August 23, 2011, with 14 new tracks that were not included in the original album, "including 12 previously unreleased cuts from music producer T-Bone Burnett's O Brother sessions".

It is a rock album with elements of funk/soul and blues, featuring a psychedelic rock and blues rock style. Aphrodite's Child was a Greek rock and pop band formed in 1967, by Evangelos Papathanassiou, later known professionally as Vangelis (keyboards, flutes), Demis Roussos (bass, acoustic and electric guitar, vocals), Loukas Sideras (drums and vocals), and Silver Koulouris (guitar). They initially found success in Europe with hit singles like "Rain and Tears", "End of the World", "I Want to Live", and "It's Five O'Clock", before pivoting to progressive rock with their third and final album, 666 (1972). An ambitious concept album inspired by the Book of Revelation, it later gained critical acclaim and has appeared on a number of lists of the top progressive and psychedelic albums of all time.

The 2006 release of Mashmakhan / The Family is a compilation CD that combines two albums by the Canadian rock band Mashmakhan: their self-titled debut album Mashmakhan and their second album The Family. This compilation was released on Black Rose Records in the United States and features a total of 17 tracks from both albums and "plus" my hidden track.
Mashmakhan debuted in 1970 with three singles, "As the Years Go By", the song reached No. 1 in Canada, and the Top 40 in the United States. The song was also a major hit in Japan. Mashmakhan later launched their second album, The Family in 1971, which had little-to-no success, Mashmakhan started to realise that fact, and broke up shortly after. However, the last track, "Mr. Tree", was cut off due to time restraints from The Famaly album.
