Taste are an Irish blues rock band formed in Cork in 1966. They were founded by songwriter and guitarist Rory Gallagher who left the band in 1970. Taste released the first of their two studio albums, the self-titled Taste, with On the Boards following in early 1970, the latter showing the band's jazz influences with Gallagher playing saxophone on two tracks.

Chicago Transit Authority is the debut album by the American pop&jazz rock group Chicago (then known as Chicago). It was recorded and released in 28. April 1969 and became a sleeper hit, reaching number 17 on the Billboard 200 by 1971 and spawning several successful singles, including Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?, Listen, Questions 67 And 68 and Beginnings, I'm A Man.

The Hunter is a studio album by Ike & Tina Turner released on Blue Thumb Records in 1969 and Outta Season is a 1968, released on Blue Thumb Records in the US.

*The Hunter is one of Ike & Tina's most blues oriented albums. It was cut during the blues revival period of the late 1960s. The Hunter boasts several fine blues workouts in which the Stax sound figures prominently. The album features electric blues guitarist Albert Collins. This masterpiece earned Tina Turner her first solo Grammy nomination. 

*Outta Season is a heavy blues album produced by Tina Turner and Bob Krasnow.

The album contains the track "I Am a Motherless Child," which is based on the spiritual "City Called Heaven". The first single, "I've Been Loving You Too Long," peaked at No. 68 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 23 on the Billboard R&B chart in April 1969. The second single "Crazy 'Bout You Baby" was only released in the UK.

Formed in 1969, in Cincinati, Ohio Whalefeathers released just two LP's before disbanding. The music is best described as melodious progressive rock with a lot of piano & organ, good vocals & some intense guitar.There is nothing stand out as such but the band sit well within the confines of Prog Related. Their debut album Declare and follow up Whalefeathers were both released in 1970. In 2002 both albums were re-released on CD under one package. They officially disbanded in 1973.

Rare Earth is an American rock band from Detroit, Michigan. According to Louder, "Rare Earth's music straddles genres and defies categorisation, slipping seamlessly between the two seemingly disparate worlds of classic rock and R&B." The band was signed to Motown's subsidiary label Rare Earth. 

Get Ready is the RIAA Platinum-certified second studio album by American rock band Rare Earth. Released on September 30, 1969, it was one of five albums that launched the Motown subsidiary Rare Earth Records, named after the band.
