Juicy Lucy was a British blues rock band officially formed on 1 October 1969. The group later recruited vocalist Ray Owen, guitarist Neil Hubbard, bassist Keith Ellis, and drummer Pete Dobson (born 1950). The band name was inspired by a character in The Virgin Soldiers (1966) by Leslie Thomas.
The band immediately notched a UK Top 20 hit with their cover version of the Bo Diddley composition "Who Do You Love?". Juicy Lucy released two albums the self-titled 1969 and Lie Back and Enjoy It 1970 on Vertigo. Amid multiple lineup changes, they released the 1971 Get a Whiff a This and the 1972 album Pieces.
