MP3/320Kbs/162MB
folk rock, country rock

Brewer & Shipley are an American folk rock duo who enjoyed their peak success in the late 1960s through the 1970s. The duo consists of singer-songwriters Mike Brewer (born on April 14, 1944) and Tom Shipley (born on April 1, 1941). They are known for their intricate guitar work, vocal harmonies, and socially conscious lyrics which reflected the concerns of their generation – especially the Vietnam War, and the struggles for personal and political freedom. Their greatest commercial success was the song "One Toke Over the Line" from their 1970 album Tarkio. They had two other singles on the Billboard charts: "Tarkio Road" (1970) and "Shake Off The Demon" (1971). They continue to perform, both separately and together, usually in the Midwest United States...

Free - Tons Of Sobs (1969/?) Island Records (France) - IMCD 62 (842 784-2)

MP3/320Kbs/93MB
blues rock, classic rock

Tons Of Sobs is the debut studio album by the English rock band Free, released in the UK on 14 March 1969. While the album failed to chart in the UK, it reached number 197 in the US. Free are cited as one of the definitive bands of the British blues boom of the late 1960s, even though this is the only album of their canon that can strictly be called blues rock. It had the band's first minor hit "I'm a Mover", which was released as a single in December 1968.
The majority of the album was recorded over a few days in October 1968. Originally slated for a November release, the album was delayed until early 1969 due to the late addition of the cover of "The Hunter".

Key Largo (1970/2004) CMP 620-2/GTR 620

MP3/320Kbs/101MB
Blues Rock with Jazzy Mood

Key Largo are a prime example of the many fine, small semi-pro bands that never made the big time. - Mike Vernon
Key Largo may best be described as a group of musicians seeking to create something fresh and unique within the supposed musical boundaries of what most people would simply term blues state the sleeve notes to their album. In fact what's on offer is pretty British blues rock produced by Mike Vernon, and released through the Blue Horizon label with lots of harmonica, percussion and brass arrangements in places. The album includes cover versions of Willie Dixon, Alain Toussaint, B.B.King and P. Mayfield songs.
Tracks include the soul/funk orientated “Give It Up” with a brass arrangement; the slow number “As The Years Go Passing By”, which features some good blues guitar work, and “Come On And Get It Baby”, written by thirties English pianist Stanley Black - an instrumental with jazzy electric piano, sharp guitar chords and percussion by Kenny Lamb who later went on to Jellybread. (Costas Arvanitis)

Tracks:
01. Big Chief (Part 1) (Ulis Gaines, Wardell Quezergue) - 1:27
02. Axe And The Wind (Willie Dixon) - 1:35

04. What Do I Do With It (Now I've Got It) (Mike Vernon, Laurie Sanford) - 1:54
