Kak was an American psychedelic rock band, based in San Francisco between 1967 and 1969. The band was formed in Davis, California, in late 1967, by singer, songwriter and rhythm guitarist Gary Lee Yoder, and lead guitarist Dehner Patten. Both had previously been members of The Oxford Circle, a garage rock and early psychedelic band. Adding Joe Dave Damrell on bass and sitar, and Chris Lockheed on drums and harpsichord, they started performing together as Kak around San Francisco. After meeting songwriter and record producer Gary Grelecki, they were signed by Epic Records, who released their lone album in January 1969 (it was recorded in 1968). Kak split up early in 1969.

Rough Mix is an album by Pete Townshend, guitarist with the Who, and Ronnie Lane, former bassist with Small Faces and Faces. The album was released in September 1977 as Polydor 2442 in the UK and MCA 2295 in the US. It peaked at number 44 on the UK Albums Chart, and at number 45 on the Billboard 200.

Larry A. Pitchford (April 29, 1936 – July 22, 2024), better known by his ring name Beauregarde, was an American professional wrestler and musician.

In 1971, he released an album bearing his stage name, Beauregarde, featuring Greg Sage of Wipers on guitar. Beauregarde enlisted Sage (then 17) after overhearing him playing guitar for a friend's band at Sound Productions studio in Portland in 1969.

The Flying Burrito Brothers are an American country rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1968, best known for their influential 1969 debut album, The Gilded Palace of Sin. Although the group is known for its connection to band founders Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman (both formerly of the Byrds), the group underwent many personnel changes and has existed in various incarnations. Bearfoot was a Juno Award-nominated Canadian rock band, formed in 1969. Founded by Jim Atkinson, Terry Danko, Dwayne Ford, Hugh Brockie and Brian Hilton.
