Black Oak Arkansas is an American Southern rock band named after the band's hometown of Black Oak, Arkansas. The band reached the height of its fame in the 1970s, charting ten albums. Their style is notable for multiple guitar players and the raspy voice and on-stage antics of vocalist Jim "Dandy" Mangrum.

High On The Hog is the fourth studio album by American southern rock band, released in 1973 by Atco Records. It is known for its cover of the LaVern Baker song "Jim Dandy", which reached number 25 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Taste are an Irish blues rock band formed in Cork in 1966. They were founded by songwriter and guitarist Rory Gallagher who left the band in 1970. The Hunter is a studio album by Ike & Tina Turner released on Blue Thumb Records in 1969 and Outta Season is a 1968, released on Blue Thumb Records in the US.

*The Hunter is one of Ike & Tina's most blues oriented albums. It was cut during the blues revival period of the late 1960s. The Hunter boasts several fine blues workouts in which the Stax sound figures prominently. The album features electric blues guitarist Albert Collins. This masterpiece earned Tina Turner her first solo Grammy nomination. 

*Outta Season is a heavy blues album produced by Tina Turner and Bob Krasnow.

The album contains the track "I Am a Motherless Child," which is based on the spiritual "City Called Heaven". The first single, "I've Been Loving You Too Long," peaked at No. 68 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 23 on the Billboard R&B chart in April 1969. The second single "Crazy 'Bout You Baby" was only released in the UK.

Juicy Lucy was a British blues rock band officially formed on 1 October 1969. After the demise of The Misunderstood, Juicy Lucy was formed by US-born steel guitarist Glenn Ross Campbell, and prolific Blackburn saxophonist Chris Mercer (born 1947). The group later recruited vocalist Ray Owen, guitarist Neil Hubbard, bassist Keith Ellis, and drummer Pete Dobson (born 1950). The band name was inspired by a character in The Virgin Soldiers (1966) by Leslie Thomas.

The band immediately notched a UK Top 20 hit with their cover version of the Bo Diddley composition "Who Do You Love?". Juicy Lucy released two albums the self-titled 1969 and Lie Back and Enjoy It 1970 on Vertigo. Amid multiple lineup changes, they released the 1971 Get a Whiff a This and the 1972 album Pieces. Juicy Lucy disbanded shortly thereafter. In 1995, Ray Owen resurrected the band's name and released further albums...
