Originally calling themselves the Electric Pigeons, they soon shortened the name to the Pigeons, who formed in Long Island in 1965. In April 1967 the Pigeons got signed to Atlantic Records. But there was one drawback, however, Atlantic didn't want a band called the Pigeons... In early 1966, the group recorded in 1966 or 1967 a set of eight demos that were presented several years later (1970) as While The World Was Eating Vanilla Fudge, credited to "Mark Stein The Pigeons". Prior to its release the group had dispensed with The Pigeons name and had become Vanilla Fudge...

Liza Minnelli - New Feelin' (1970) A&M Records - SP 4272

MP3/320Kbs/66MB
Pop Rock, Country-Soul, Easy Listening

New Feelin' is the sixth studio album by American singer and actress Liza Minnelli, released on October 19, 1970, by A&M Records. It was her third and final studio album for the label. Recommended!
"The musicians involved in the recording of Liza Minnelli's album New Feelin' include the Muscle Shoals-based session musicians, known for their distinctive country-soul and R&B arrangements, which contributed to the album's twangy guitars, energetic brass sections, pulsating electric bass, and gospel-inspired backing vocals. The album was engineered by Mickey Buckins and Sonny Limbo, and the art direction was handled by Tom Wilkes.
Rex Kramer, who was the lead vocalist of The Bojangles and also dating Liza Minnelli at the time, served as the producer, arranger, and photographer for the album. The album features a blend of modern arrangements of classic songs from the Great American Songbook, recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, during the spring and summer of 1970."
