Compilation from "Hatfield and the North" and "The Rotters' Club" from 1974 and 1975, added single from 1974, and some live recordings.

Hatfield and the North were an experimental Canterbury scene rock band. Formed in October 1972 to June 1975, some reunions thereafter (1990, 2005)

Excellent band from the Canterbury school, with extreme explored musicianship, led by the ex Caravan leader and bass player Richard Sinclair. His strong and characteristic vocals add a lot to the music, already rich in instrumentation. Keyboardist Dave Stewart is another big player here, bringing up the atmosphere with his valve saturation driven keyboard sounds.

Tracks 1 and 2 were released as the A- and B-sides respectively of a 1974 single released on Virgin Records. Tracks 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 15 and 16 are songs from The Rotters' Club, tracks 6 to 9 inclusive are from Hatfield and the North, and tracks 12 to 14 inclusive are edited recordings of live performances in France, mixed by Peter Wade.

Locomotiv GT (often abbreviated LGT, and sometimes using the nickname Loksi) was a Hungarian rock band formed in 1971. Starting out as a progressive rock band, they later experimented with many other styles including jazz, funk, and pop. During their heyday they were one of Hungary's most popular rock bands. The band broke up in 2016 after the death of longtime singer/bassist Tamás Somló......

Their self-titled debut album was released in December 1971, and their second album Ringasd el magad was released the following year. The band's third album Bummm! was released in 1973. Tamás Barta left the band and defected to the United States, which then caused the Hungarian government to ban Bummm! for the next ten years in retaliation. (Barta was murdered in the United States under mysterious circumstances in 1982.)...

Madman Across The Water is the fourth studio album by English musician Elton John, released on 5 November 1971 by DJM and Uni Records. The album was his third album to be released in 1971, at which point John had been rising to prominence as a popular music artist. John's first progressive rock album. Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman plays Hammond organ on three songs. The album was included in Robert Dimery's 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

The bonus of the album contained a longer version of "Razor Face", which extended the song-ending jam to 6:42 instead of the early fade on the original album and the longer version of "Madman Across The Water" to 8:50. Excellent edition... I can recommend!...

Indian Reservation is the thirteenth studio album by Paul Revere and the Raiders (listed as "The Raiders" on the sleeve), released in 1971. Cymande are a British funk group that was originally active in the early 1970s. The band name derives from a calypso word for "dove", which symbolises peace and love, "Dove" is also the title of one of their best-known songs. With a membership deriving from several Caribbean nations, Cymande were noted for an eclectic mix of funk, soul, reggae, rock, African music, calypso, and jazz that they called "nyah-rock". The band formed in 1971 and released three albums before disbanding in 1974. After gaining newfound popularity when their music was sampled by many notable rap artists, Cymande reformed in the 2010s.

"This release is a great insight into one of those bands in the late 60s that genuinely underachieved despite producing music that was as good as most of the bigger bands around them at the time".

Rhinoceros was an American rock band established in 1967 through auditions conducted by Elektra Records, rather than organic formation by musicians. The band, while well respected in many circles, did not live up to the record label's expectations. It was also poorly received by fans, producing a slow-selling debut album and two even less successful LPs before breaking up. One reviewer commented, "Despite the fact that the band could not live up to the expectations that were raised by Elektra Records' publicity machine, Rhinoceros' contributions to rock still deserve more credit than subsequent rock histories give it."

In 1971, after the breakup of Rhinoceros, John Finley, Michael Fonfara, Peter Hodgson, Danny Weis and Larry Leishman formed a new group called Blackstone, later referred to by Weis as "an attempt to re-capture some of the fun we had in Rhinoceros". They recorded an album for Canadian label GRT, titled On the Line (1973), produced by Paul Rothchild. The musicians then went their separate ways.

This classic album has been released at least 4 times with different track listings. It was first released in 1972 in South Africa. It was then released in 1973 in Europe with a slightly different track list and credited to Jo'Burg Hawk. In 1998 an unofficial CD was released by the Never Never Land label in Japan with a different cover and track list. In January 2004 Retro Fresh released a CD of the European version with bonus tracks.

☆ Syrius was formed by Zsolt Baronits in 1962, Budapest (Hungary), mainly to play beat music. The band profile changed in 1970 when they started playing progressive rock and jazz-rock fusion, when Jackie Orszaczky (bass, vocal), László Pataki (organ), Mihály Ráduly (saxophone, flute) and András Veszelinov (drums) joined the band. They got a contract in Australia where they recorded their most famous album called "Az ördög álarcosbálja", which was published in 1971, first in Australia, under the title Devil's Masquerade. Only in 1972 in Hungary.
